Yen Nguyen began at Motif Seattle as a Housekeeping Room Attendant, was promoted to Housekeeping Supervisor soon after and now is Assistant Housekeeping Manager. Her ability to train and supervise others, maintain a positive attitude, cross-train at the front desk and commit to a #oneteamonedream philosophy led to Yen being recognized as Colleague of the Year in 2019. When the hotel reopened in 2021, Yen was instrumental in adhering to Hyatt’s Global Care and Cleanliness Commitment and Global Biorisk Advisory Council (GBAC) STAR accreditation standards. She is always up for the challenge, from training staff on new standards to staying until midnight to clean rooms to working during an unexpected Seattle heat wave to readying the property for Hyatt’s annual quality inspection.
